The School of Continuing and Professional Studies is a unit of New York University for working professionals who seek additional training tailored to their interests through more than 2,000 courses in various fields of study. Master's , bachelor's , associate's are some of the degrees awarded in addition to the diplomas in arts or science. Apart from non-academic certificates, workshops and professional training, SCPS offers 12 industry centers, career counseling, public events and other services.

The following are needed to complete the application process
- A current résumé
- A personal statement
- Two letters of recommendation
- Official transcripts from all colleges or universities attended
- If requested, an evaluation of foreign credentials to confirm the equivalency of an international degree
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) scores for applicants who did not complete an undergraduate degree in the United States or in a country where the only primary language is English
Note: Applicants who require an F-1 visa, are not eligible to apply for graduate certificate programs.
