Applications are open for Forrest Research Foundation Scholarship 2016 for outstanding international and Australian students to enroll in a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree and undertake high quality research at one of the following Western Australian Universities:

Notre Dame University (Fremantle Campus)
The University of Western Australia

Field of study: The scholarship is awarded in the following fields of study:
Agricultural & Veterinary Sciences
Medical & Health Sciences
Commerce, Management, Tourism & Services
Psychology & Cognitive Sciences
Studies in Creative Arts & Writing
Language, Communication & Culture
History & Archaeology
Eligibility: To apply for Forrest Research Foundation Scholarship 2016, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Applicants are required to enroll in a PhD degree at any of the universities listed above, but mustn’t be already enrolled.
An applicant must possess a bachelor’s degree with first class honors standard or equivalent.
An applicant must have applied for an Australian postgraduate award or equivalent at the enrolling university.
An applicant must have applied for an International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS) or equivalent at the enrolling university if he/she is an international student.
Applicants have to reside at St George’s College for the duration of the scholarship, but exceptions may be considered.

Value of Fellowship: Important benefits covered under the Forrest Research Foundation Scholarship program 2016 include:
Stipend for Australian Postgraduate Award (APA) or equivalent university postgraduate research scholarship
$26,288 per annum
$19,716 (subject to annual indexation)
Relocation and research travel allowance
Note: In case of international Forrest scholars, they are entitled to an International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS) or equivalent university international fee scholarship, which covers the full international tuition fees and overseas students’ health cover. Domestic Forrest scholars will be granted tuition fee exemptions for the duration of the scholarship. Most importantly, for interview in person or by Skype, the applicants are required to be available on 23 June, 2016.
