Columbia University UG admission 2016 - Columbia University, USA has announced applications for its undergraduate programmes starting in Fall 2016. Applications are open for the following:
1. Columbia College and Columbia Engineering,
2. All undergraduate divisions of Columbia University
3. School of General Studies
4. Dual BA Program between Columbia University and Sciences Po.How to apply?All students seeking admission to Columbia university undergraduate programmes must apply through the common application. In the common application students have to give the following information on their secondary school:
An official high school transcript from all high schools attended
One high school counselor’s recommendation and school profile
The completed Mid-Year Report
Applicants have to submit the Columbia Writing Supplement with the common application, which includes:
$85 application fee or fee waiver request
Applicant’s achievements, activities, employment and summer activities
Aspirants also have to submit both SAT scores and two SAT Subject Test scores Engineering applicants have to appear for Math 1 or 2 and Biology, Physics or Chemistry. You can also submit the ACT Assessment with Writing. The SAT code is 2116.
International students have to further submit proof of English proficiency through IELTS or TOEFL score. For TOEFL, a minimum score of 600 in paper-based test or 100 in Internet-based test. For IELTS, a minimum score of 7.0 is required for admission to Columbia.
However, international students who have a 650 on the Critical Reading or Writing sections of SAT are not required to submit proof of English proficiency.
