The Faculty of Law of the University of Oxford is inviting entries for The Annual Oxford University India Moot Court Competition on Constitutional Law 2013-14. It is one of the most popular moot competitions of the Oxford University among the Indian students.

The Annual Oxford University India Moot Court Competition 2013-14 focuses on Constitutional Law. The moot problem engages few of the best Constitutional Law Judgments of the Supreme Court of India. The competition will encourage intellectual discourse in wider society and give law students an opportunity to showcase and enhance their legal expertise and debating skills. The Annual Oxford University India Moot Court Competition on Constitutional Law 2013-14 will involve drafting, researching, preparations of memorials, debating and arguing the case in a live court like set-up.

Oral proceedings of The Annual Oxford University India Moot Court Competition 2013-14 will include two preliminary rounds, Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals and a Grand Final. Teams may comprise of two or three students. Any two team members need to speak in any given moot while the third team member may be a researcher. The Grand Final of the competition shall be held before members of the Indian Judiciary and eminent legal scholars on March 16, 2014 in New Delhi at the India International Centre (IIC), New Delhi. The participants, if required can also request the Moot Organizing Committee for mentors at any stage of the competition. The mentors, who are generally practicing lawyers and Oxford Law alumni, will advice and guide the participants on any aspect of the competition.

The Annual Oxford University India Moot Court Competition 2013-14 winning team members shall receive a scholarship to pursue Postgraduate Law Studies at Oxford Law Faculty, and an opportunity to visit the Oxford University, subject to the rules of the competition.
