Eligibility:

  • Candidates should have completed 12 years of schooling (equivalent to 10+2 system of Indian Education) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology as subjects.
  • In case if they have studied Physical science with combination of Physics and Chemistry as subjects in the qualifying examination, they should produce the certificate to the effect and also proper approval order from the AIU / Board of School.
  • Minimum average of 60% marks in PCM (Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics) / PCB (Physics, Chemistry & Biology) in standard XII or Equivalent Degree
  • Minimum average of Grade “C” / Minimum average Grade point of “4” in PCM / PCB in standard XII or Equivalent Degree, whatever the case may be, the grade point must be equivalent to 60%. [Equivalent marks proof to be enclosed]
  • PCB candidates are eligible only for Bioinformatics, Bio-Medical Engineering  and Biotechnology programmes
  • PCM candidates are eligible for all 13 B.Tech. Degree programmes
  • Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 1991 are eligible to apply
  • Either the Candidate or his / her parents should be NRI [for candidates having NRI status]
  • Sponsorship to be given by parents living abroad only [Sponsorship by relative / friend is not acceptable]

Send the hard copies of the filled-out application form along with the necessary documents  by post to the Address of “Director - UG Admissions, VIT University, Vellore - 632014, Tamil Nadu”.

Documents to be submitted alongwith application:

  • Copy of X Mark Statement
  • Any age proof certificate
  • Copy of XI Mark Sheet/ Grades of the qualifying Examination.
  • Copy of XII Mark statement or Equivalent degree Examination marks (if available)
  • Copy of Transfer (or) School leaving certificate (or) Migration Certificate (if available)
  • In case, the candidates are awarded with Grades and not with marks, it is the responsibility of the candidate to produce equivalent marks for the grades secured from the concerned Institution / Board
  • Certificates issued by the employer, with full details of the designation of the parents Employer's Certificate
  • Valid Passport and Visa Copies of the candidate and the parent
  • Copy of citizenship card ( for Nepal & Bhutan students)
  • Sponsorship letter Sponsorship Letter
  • Two passport size photographs


VITEEE - 2013:
NRI candidates can also apply for VITEEE-2013 at www.vit.ac.in/admissions.
In case of their selection under VITEEE-2013 (Merit category through counselling), the fee paid under NRI category will be adjusted against Merit admission

Availability of online Application Forms: First week of December 2012
Last date for receipt of filled out Application form along with necessary documents: 7th March 2013
Announcement of short listed candidates: Third week of March 2013
Last date for payment Advance fee of 1,000 USD: 10th April 2013
Last date for payment of balance fee: 10th June 2013
