About SAT 2023
SAT exam 2023 - The SAT registrations for the October SAT exam will close on September 7, 2023 for all international students. Candidates can register at the official website - satsuite.collegeboard.org. Scholastic Assessment Test commonly known as SAT exam is administered by the College Board and is an accepted exam for admission to many schools and universities in the United States, Canada, Australia, Finland, Singapore, India, and many other nations at satsuite.collegeboard.org. The purpose of the SAT is to gauge a student's preparation for college. The test is mostly for high school students who plan to enroll in one of the SAT-accredited colleges. Typically, high school juniors and seniors (classes 11 and 12) take the SAT exam. The board has also announced the SAT 2024 registration and exam dates which are mentioned below.

The digital version of the SAT Suite of Assessments has been introduced recently as a result of the US pilot test's success. SAT exam dates will now consist of two-hour-duration instead of three, giving students taking the test additional time per question. The shorter reading passages on the online SAT will each have one question related to it. There will be a greater range of themes linked to what the students have studied in college in the passages given to the students on the SAT exam dates. SAT Exam 2023 - Digital New Exam Features
The emphasis of the SAT digital is "students' access to technology."
Students will use a laptop or tablet to take the SAT exam.
Instead of lasting three hours, the SAT exam will only last two hours.
Shorter reading passages covering a wide range of topics will be used In SAT.
Math problems will be shorter and students will be permitted to utilize calculators throughout the whole SAT Math part.
SAT scores will be delivered to students sooner. Scorecards will be produced in days rather than weeks.
Previously, international students could only take five SATs in a calendar year.
On their own device or one provided by their school, students can take the digital SAT exam. On the SAT exam dates, a student who doesn't have a gadget will be given one.
If the internet connection stops or the computer crashes in the middle of the test, the students won't lose any time or work. Simply reconnect the test or plug it in again.
Students will also have access to information about nearby two-year institutions and programs for workforce training through SAT exam in India score reports.
What will not change in the SAT exam 2023?
The 1600-point scale will continue to be used for scores.

SAT - Highlights
The new SAT exam will be shorter. The exam will now last two hours rather than three.

Beginning in the fall of 2023, all students taking PSAT-related tests will use digital testing. However, pen and paper will be used for the SAT School Day and SAT Weekend administrations in the United States.

The College Board does not mandate SAT exam eligibility 2023 criteria for students, so any candidate irrespective of their age may appear in the SAT exam 2023. That being said, here are some points the candidate may refer to before sitting for the SAT exam.
Generally, high school students in the age group 17-18 years take the SAT exam. This is an SAT eligibility criterion.

Recently the College Board announced that the SAT will be delivered digitally. The digital version will start in March 2023 and in the United States in March 2024. The College Board will declare the result of SAT approximately 10-15 days after the test date. SAT result 2023 will be available online on the College Board account. The result would also be mailed to the candidate. This applies to SAT exams in India as well.

The SAT 2023 scores are represented cumulatively on a scale of 400 - 1600. These scores are a sum of the individual scoring areas:
Math Section: The Math section is scored on a 200 - 800 point scale
Evidence-based Reading and Writing Section: This includes scores from the Reading section and Writing and Language section and is scored on a 200 - 800 point scale.
How to send the SAT score 2023 to the universities?
There are two ways to share the SAT score with the universities. First, the candidates can select the universities/colleges at the time of registration or at any time between registration and 9 days after the date of the test. The second option is regular score reporting which is a paid option.
Sending SAT scores free of cost - Candidates can send SAT scores to a maximum of 4 universities or colleges free of cost. For this, they need to submit the names of the universities anytime between the registration and 9 days after the test.
SAT score report - Additional reports
Candidates can request additional score reports if they want to share the SAT score with more than 4 colleges or if they haven't given the names of the universities for free reporting. The additional score report can be done by login into the registered SAT account and by selecting the names of the universities. In doing so, the candidates will be charged around $12 per report. If the score report is requested by phone call, some additional charges will be applicable.
