can a MBBS graduate who completed before 10yrs can apply MCAT?Is there any age limit is there?

Priyaanka Sarkar Student Expert 31st Oct, 2019

Dear Saran, AAMC doesn't specify any particular eligibility crtieria except for the fact that the Candidates should have completed their Graduation. For International Candidates completing or pursuing MBBS is a mandatory criterion. So even if you have completed your MBBS, 10 years ago, you are still eligible for appearing for MCAT. There is no upper age limit. For more information, please visit our page at: https://studyabroad.careers360.com/articles/mcat-eligibility-criteria

Any candidates interested in pursuing career in Allopathic, Osteopathic, Podiatric and Veterinary can appear for the MCAT test. Students from U.S. and Canada must have a UG degree to be eligible for the exam. International candidates must be pursuing or have completed MBBS to sit for MCAT. So no, having a B.Tech degree in Biotechnology won't pave a way for you to be eligible for MCAT.

Need an advice on MCAT (International student).

Priyaanka Sarkar Student Expert 29th Jul, 2019
MCAT is a computerised exam conducted by American Association of Medical Colleges to get into a medical school abroad in countries like US, Canada and Australia. Youare eligible to take this exam if you intend to attend a health professional school that includes Allopathic, Osteopathic, Podiatric and Veterinary Medicine. However do drop a mail to [email protected] explaining the reason why you want to take the exam. MCAT tests your understanding in fundamentals of Chemistry, Psychology, Sociology, Physics and Chemistry along with problem solving and critical thinking skills. So though these are easy to understand and read, taking few extra classes can boost your score.
