TOEFL Syllabus 2019: ETS®, the TOEFL® conducting body prescribes four modules/sections in the TOEFL syllabus 2019, namely, Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing. Although there is no specific TOEFL 2019 syllabus, the pattern of the test is quite specific. The test takers are required to combine his/her language skills in all the sections while appearing for the TOEFL exam. All the sections are conducted on the same day with a 10 minutes break. Candidates are assessed on their capability to ingrate the mentioned skill-sets. As per the TOEFL syllabus 2019, a candidate is required to perform the following tasks-

Reading section description-

Reading: This section involves reading three or four passages from academic texts and answering questions. Candidates can practice reading passages from books or papers to prepare for this module. The passages in the test can be derived from anywhere. In this section of TOEFL 2019, only reading ability of the candidate is checked.
Listening section description-

It is advisable that students take notes while listening to the lectures and discussions.

The total duration of Speaking module is 20 minutes.

Speaking: According to the syllabus of TOEFL 2019, in this section, test takers have to express an opinion on a familiar topic. They will have to speak based on Reading and Listening tasks. This section evaluates a candidate's ability to comprehend information. Basically, one needs to explain what he/she has read.

Most four - year colleges require that all applicants , domestic and international alike , take the SAT or ACT. If English isn't your first language , then you will likely also have to take TOEFL to apply to college. Most colleges will equally accept IELTS or PTE too. The TOEFL is most popular option.
But if you score highly enough on the verbal section of the SAT or ACT , then you might not have to take the TOEFL.

1. you can register online and pay the fees by credit card (Log on to www.ieltsidpindia.com and Select the option
"Register for IELTS"
and fill the necessary information).
2. register in person at idp branch and pay the fees there. identical to the first option.
3. register by courier and pay test fee by demand draft.
you can register for TOEFL exam by online means and or by email or by phone. you can also register in person at a toefl resource center. you will be basically required to visit and create an online profile and then pay the exam fees.
Giving either of them is ok actually. And for preparations then if you plan to shift in 2021 try to give the exam in around November 2020 if possible and to start it's preparations, as per me it's a 3 months regular studies required to crack the same. So you can start in around July/August to be well prepared to give the exam.
