- With over 6 lakhs international students enrolled in its education centres, Australia is giving tough competition to popular education hubs like the US and UK. One of the major reasons for its emerging prominence among international students is its reformed immigration process. Add to that is Australia’s profession oriented education which offers mid-career professionals a definite edge to further their knowledge base.

Besides, its full time courses, Australian Universities also offer many short term courses, especially, for professional development. These short term courses in Australia provide three major benefits to students – First they offer skill based training; second, they are low on cost and third, they consume less time and are therefore perfect for professionals who want to hone their skills as well as students who want to have specialized knowledge in an area while pursuing their full time courses.

Here we bring you some of the top universities in Australia which offer short term programmes in Australia.    

University of Melbourne: The University of Melbourne, ranked number one in Australia, offers a range of short term programmes for students who want to explore the Melbourne experience without opting for a full time degree. The university offers some of the popular short term courses in Australia which are mostly covered by the Melbourne School of Engineering and Victoria College of Arts. The Melbourne Business School, too, offers a ‘Single subject study’ under the Community Access Program at both the undergraduate and graduate levels which, are generally more than 3 months long.

The Victoria College of Arts offers short term courses in Dance, Music, Film studies, Theater and Visual Arts. The Melbourne School of Engineering offers short term professional development classes in Business Administration and Information Systems to students.

Fees: Professional development- $3,735; the Community Access Program - Over $23,264

Australian National University: Besides summer research programmes, the Australian National University offers short term executive and professional development courses, some of which can even be as short as 4 days. The short term courses in Australia are offered as summer research programmes which run for around 8 weeks and are offered both at the undergraduate and graduate levels and give students an opportunity to undertake a short research project on a topic approved by the University. The programmes, generally, run between November to January and can be funded through scholarships or internships.

Besides, ANU also provides professional law and health courses which are designed for students who are already in the specific domains.

Fees:   Fess for the summer schools may be around $400 to $1600.

 

University of Sydney: The University of Sydney offers a range of short term courses in Australia covered under professional development courses or single subjects. Some of the programmes covered are Architecture, Design and Planning, Business, Education and Law, among others. In addition, the university also offers short courses through its Centre for Continuing Education. Taking the experience a step further, the university runs some of the programmes like Business Administration in collaboration with industry players like Abn Amro or Citigroup. Most of the courses last for around 4-8 weeks.

Fees: NA

University of Queensland:  The University of Queensland offers some really interesting short term courses in Australia through its executive education division, which is mainly divided into two categories- executive series and management series. Some of its prominent short term courses are the Leadership Challenge, Managerial decision making, Supply chain reform, Building Brand strategy, among others. Besides, the university also offers 80 language courses on a short term basis four times a year. There is no entry requirements for this programmes and anybody who is 16 years or older can enroll themselves.

Fees: For the language courses, the fee is above $370 and for the executive management programmes, the fee is upwards $3,900 for majority of the courses.

 

Monash University: A highly ranked university in Australia, Monash University is also known for its short term courses in Australia across the following fields:

  • Short Courses

  • Business and Finance Matters

  • Communication and Writing

  • Computer Training

  • First Aid

  • Hospitality, Food and Beverage

  • Language

  • Leisure

The fields cover a variety of short term programmes like Accounting, Pubic Speaking, Event Management, among others. The programmes are, generally, divided into sessions and per course may be covered in 1-4 sessions with an average of 2 sessions.

Fees: The fee depends on the course you are taking. For business related courses, the fee is upwards $200 and for hospitality courses, it can be around $80.

can i get mba application in australia i am btech discontinued students

hi,

see mba is a post graduate course, so first of all you need to complete your graduation, then you are eligible to apply for mba, in india most of the institute required 50% marks in graduation as a qualifying marks criteria for mba admission. since you have discontinued your graduation course you are not eligible to study  mba neither in india nor in abroad.

ls it easy to get admission in Australia to study MBBS

Hello aspirant. Compared to many other countries in terms of cost and education, it is comparatively easier to get admission in autpstralia to study MBBS. The courses offered are proper 4 years degree with even the fee also reasonable.

After your +2, soon the applications release, go on. And it won't take much of a process to apply. So fair chances to get the admission over there

what is the fee structure to study MBBS in Australia and America

Hello aspirant. So mbbs in Australia has usually the duration will be of 4 years. Fee structure depends on university. Some of the famous universities are

1. University of Sydney with fee structure of 64,500 Australian dollar per year

2. Flinders university with fee structure of 63,500 aud again

3. University of Queensland with fee structure of 73,264 aud

MBBS in America

Here, it's not like an mbbs degree. You need to complete any undergraduation degree in india in science subject and then give mcat. There are two degrees MD and DO. Depends on your choice, you can choose the degree. So per year , this degree cost around 40,000 usd to 50,000 usd. So for 4 years. More or less it costs like around 2,00,000 usd.

You can get study visa for the course based on your marks, IELTS score, and other criteria set by Australia. You must first select the course you want to study later you will have to take IELTS course, you must apply prior to 6months from course commencement. You must have enough balance in your bank to fund your education, and expenses, you must have the whole amount before 6 months. Later applying for the course you must apply for education visa from Australian authority. It will take time, and it depends upon your luck and your documents ,visa will be provided then.
