NRI Quota in Private Medical Colleges in Odisha – Odisha has a total of 12 medical colleges which offer as many as 1550 seats to MBBS aspirants. As many as 8 of the 12 are government college which accepts only Indian aspirants. Out of the 4 private, KIIT is a deemed to be University and admission to the institution is through Medical Couselling Committee. As many as two private medical colleges offer admission MBBS programme to NRI candidates. Out of the 250 seats in the two medical colleges, as many as 35 are available for admission to NRI aspirants interested to take admission in the MBBS programme. The Directorate of Medical Education and Training, Odisha takes care of the counselling as well as the allotment of colleges to the students. Eligibility Criteria for NRI Students for MBBS Admission
The eligibility criteria for NRI aspirants to private medical colleges in Odisha is same as that for the resident aspirants. Non Resident Indian aspirants who have qualified the NEET UG 2018, are eligible to pursue MBBS. The candidate should be at least 17 years of age.

Second preference for eligible NRI candidates of outside states
