Newcastle University, UK concluded its last leg of employability seminar in Mumbai on June 22, 2017. The seminar had begun on June 17, 2017 in Delhi followed by Bangalore and Chennai for students considering studying in UK for the 2017-18 academic year.The seminar was arranged for the students and parents to get insights of the university life and career prospects during and after studying at Newcastle University. Faculty members from Newcastle University includingNaomi Oosman-Watts, Assistant Director (Career Management), Careers Services, Laura Mitford, International Student Recruitment Officer, Steve Bremmer, Student Conversions Coordinator, Newcastle University Business School and Preety Bansal, Country Manager-India were present during the sessions held in India to address students and parents. There were presentations followed by an in-depth one-on-one interaction with the students where questions related to admissions, careers and opportunities in Business School, Biosciences etc. were asked.
Sharing her experience on the event, Watts said, “It was a real pleasure to come to these events in India and be able to meet such talented and enthusiastic students who have selected Newcastle University as their destination of choice. As one of the largest careers services in the UK we have an extremely comprehensive programme of support for employability including individual support for students, placements and internships as well as a bespoke offer for students joining us from India. We are proud to see that when they graduate, the majority of our students are ready for a successful career in the global job market.
