What is MCAT 2018 Percentile Ranks?
The MCAT score card 2018 also provides the MCAT score in percentile. The percentile scores project a comparative performance of candidates who appear for the MCAT test. Candidates should note that every year on May 1, the percentile ranks are updated using data from one or more testing years. How to receive and send the scores of MCAT 2018?
Candidates can view their scores on the score release day of test after 5 PM ET by logging into their respective MCAT accounts using the login credentials. Candidates will be able to see all their MCAT scores in the history section of the official AAMC website.
To apply to Medical schools through AMCAS, candidates do not require the extra step of sending scores to individual schools. The respective medical schools will be sent all the MCAT scores taken by the prospective student. This is a part of ‘Full disclosure policy’ by AMCAS. The aspirant does not have the option of sending or holding back any of the scores (both current and prior).
MCAT Score 2018 Reporting System
To report scores to the AMCAS service non-participating institutions, MCAT Score Reporting System can be utilised. Candidates can print the official score reports and send them to the institutions of their preference. This service is provided free of cost to test takers. These institutions can check and verify the received MCAT 2018 score online. The MCAT scores are usually accepted by medical colleges up to two or three years.
