Well MCAT is given by students who wish to pursue MD from American medical school and to even think of doing a MD, a student need to have completed his or her bachelor's degree along with pre medicine track. can I apply MCAT ? I am just 12th pass out. I want to do undergraduate medical in abroad. Is it possible for me to study medicine there by passing MCAT only ? Do I need to have special permission for eligibility ? I happened to read that for to register MCAT you need to have studied MBBS. Do I ?
Well getting a medical education in USA requires you to complete a undergraduate degree first and then do MD and to get admission in any medical college there for MD, a student is required to give MCAT exam. Since you are a high school graduate, you need to do a undergraduate course before entering into medical school in USA. In uk you can directly go for medical school because there you will get mbbs degree similar to india.
Im studying B. tech biotechnology in india will I be able to write MCAT exam. And what is the meaning for special permission and also I have only 6 months of english learning in my college still can I appear for MCAT with special permission?
Well you can still give mcat exam but you need to first complete the pre Medicine track of one year in USA before applying for medical college. Unless you are done with the pre medicine track, you cannot apply to a medical school in USA even if you have given mcat.
