Australian National University (ANU)

 

ANU College of Business & Economics International Graduate Scholarship:

 

This highly competitive MBA scholarship for foreign students in Australia is available to international students seeking first-time admission to ANU College of Business & Economics postgraduate coursework program. The highlight of the award is it covers up to 50% tuition fee. A total of 10 scholarships are on offer, one each for Latin America, Europe, Asia, South East Asia and Eurasia, while the remaining five are open for international students from across the world.

Eligibility

To be eligible, the student needs to be:

  • An international student

  • Has an offer of admission into a postgraduate coursework program offered by ANU

  • Will undertake postgraduate coursework program at the college during the intake for which the scholarship is offered

  • Must not be the recipient of the ANU College of Business and Economics International Graduate Scholarship award before.

Benefits: This particular MBA scholarship offers half of the international student tuition fee for up to one year (two semesters) of a full-time postgraduate coursework program.

 

Deadline: The application window is open between early-October and early-to-mid December

 

Curtin University

 

1. MBA (Global) Scholarship


Developed by Curtin University, the MBA (Global) Future Leaders Scholarship seeks to encourage and support outstanding students to study MBA (Global) at Curtin University. The scholarship is reserved for future students and is open to both domestic and international students. If you are seeking MBA scholarship in Australia, the merit-based MBA (Global) Scholarship should definitely be on your mind. The maximum number of scholarships on offer is two.

 

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for MBA (Global) Scholarship, the applicant must:

  • Have an offer of admission to study MBA (Global)

  • Is an undergraduate degree holder with distinction or equivalent

  • Isn’t a recipient of any other Curtin funded scholarships

  • Haven’t received any other sponsorship

Benefits: The scholarship covers 50% of the student tuition fees of the MBA (Global) for up to a maximum of 2 years (based on a full-time load of 100 credits per semester).

 

Application Deadline: The application for this specific MBA scholarship in Australia for foreign students normally starts in early-September and closes in mid-January.

 

2. Curtin Humanitarian Fund (International Students)


This scholarship is offered to students from a refugee-like background and with limited resources to self-finance higher studies. The Fund reflects Curtin’s obligation towards ethics and social justice. The scholarship is available to future national and international students in the fields of Science and Engineering, Health Sciences, Humanities, and Management. Being a need-based scholarship, each student will be judged on an individual basis when granting funds for this special MBA scholarship in Australia.

 

Eligibility:

To be eligible for the Curtin Humanitarian Fund, applicants need to:

  • Be currently residing in Australia

  • Have a full offer of admission to pursue postgraduate degree at Curtin

  • Have a refugee-like status or the relative of such a person, who has undergone the turmoil of forced migration

  • Hold a Bridging Visa E in Australia, Temporary Protection Visa (subclass 785) or Safe Haven Enterprise Visa (subclass 790), or be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, Australian permanent humanitarian or New Zealand citizen

Benefit: The sponsorship awarded under the Curtin Humanitarian Fund varies considerably as each application is judged depending of circumstances of individual recipients.

 

Deadline: The deadline to apply for Curtin Humanitarian Fund falls between mid-October and mid-November.

 

The University of Western Australia (UWA)

 

1.  BHP Billiton MBA Full Time Scholarship


The University of Western Australia offers the BHP Billiton MBA Full Time Scholarship to encourage high achieving candidates to pursue MBA (by coursework and dissertation) at the university. A unique thing about the scholarship is that it can be held concurrently with other scholarships. It is one of the most generous MBA scholarships for foreign students in Australia, with grants reaching up to $68,500.

 

Eligibility:

To be eligible for a scholarship, the candidate must—

  1. have an offer of admission or admitted at the university to study MBA (by coursework and dissertation)

  2. not be fully funded or sponsored to undertake the MBA (by coursework and dissertation)

Value:

  • One scholarship valued at $68,500

  • Six scholarships valued at $41,650

  • Three scholarships valued at $40,000

  • Four scholarships valued at $17,000

  • For three of these scholarships, international students will be the first choice.

Deadline: Candidates needn’t apply separately, as upon acceptance of an unconditional offer they will be automatically considered for the scholarship.

 

2.   UWA Business School MBA Full Time Dean’s Scholarship

 

This scholarship is another popular MBA scholarship in Australia for foreign students and is offered by the University of Western Australia to students with outstanding academic credentials. Though the scholarship is open to both national and international students, international students are given first preference.

 

Eligibility:

To be considered for the scholarship candidates need to—

  1. have an offer of study or admitted at the university to study MBA (by coursework and dissertation)

  2. not be fully funded or sponsored to undertake the MBA (by coursework and dissertation)

Candidates will be evaluated on the basis of their GMAT score and course admission interview.

 

Value: Three scholarships are offered every year, with each carrying a monetary value of $30,000 (towards tuition fees)

 

Deadline: Candidates need not apply separately, as upon acceptance of an unconditional offer they will be automatically considered for the scholarship.

 

Monash University

 

Monash Business School International Pathway Scholarship

 

Yet another popular MBA scholarship in Australia is the Monash Business School International Pathway Scholarship, a merit-based scholarship which is given to two international students each year.

 

Eligibility

Candidates need to meet the following conditions to be eligible:

  • He/she must be an international student

  • Must have completed Monash University Foundation Year (MUFY).

  • Have a minimum MUFY score of 85

Deadline: There is no separate application as applications are automatically assessed.
