Part 2 – Cue Card Round

Here the candidate is given one-minute time to prepare and then speak for around 2 minutes. Part 3 – Discussion

Overview

In this section of IELTS speaking, the examiner will ask certain question which are related to the topic of the cue card and will engage the candidate in a kind of discussion, the examiner here expects the answers to be in detail and with proper reasons and confidence of the candidate. There should be free flow of information, thoughts and expressions.

This section will normally last for 6-7 minutes.
