EMST Women in STEM Scholarship - It is not an unknown fact that women are largely underrepresented in the business, technology and IT industry amongst many others. In order to overcome this lack of female representation and provide more women with a chance to follow their dreams both academically and professionally, EMST Berlin, or the European School of Management and Technology, provides a series of scholarships under the label ‘Women in STEM’ and the ‘MIM’ for prospective applicants to EMST’s masters in management program. EMST Berlin is a professionally established business school which funds both the EMST Women in STEM scholarship and the EMST MIM Women’s scholarship. These scholarships are essentially for women who want to pursue an MIM in Germany at EMST.
In order to be eligible for any of these scholarships, a candidate must be admitted to EMST’s masters in management in Germany. The applications for EMST Berlin’s September 2019 masters in management program are available online and submitted forms are considered on a rolling basis. There are three deadlines, or rounds, for applications. Early round applicants also receive an additional €2,000 tuition discount upon selection.

EMST Women in STEM Scholarship
The EMST Women in STEM scholarship is for prospective students for an MIM in Germany. There are two EMST Women in STEM scholarships awarded each year to academically meritorious masters in management students and the positions are open to students of any background and nationality.
Eligibility: The EMST Women in STEM scholarship is open to females who are pursuing or planning to pursue a masters in management in Germany. The applicant should have an outstanding undergraduate degree in any STEM study area i.e. science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Scholarship requirements: In order to be considered by the EMST Women in STEM scholarship, applicants are required to complete a scholarship essay delineating how they are eligible for the scholarship along with the online EMST application form. Applicants from underrepresented or developing countries have an upper hand during consideration for the scholarship.
Number of scholarships awarded: Two.
Scholarship amount: Up to €10,000.
Apart from the EMST Women in STEM scholarship, there is another scholarship for prospective masters in management in Germany students offered by EMST.
30% / EMST MIM Women’s Scholarship
The EMST MIM Women’s Scholarship if offered in association with the 30% Club which is a global gender diversity campaign which has been religiously working to the increase of female representation on boards and advisory committees in the UK. The 30% / EMST MIM Women’s Scholarship has been established in order to encourage and provide support to outstanding women aspiring for leadership roles.
Eligibility: The 30% / EMST MIM Women’s Scholarship is open to all female candidates who have shown an inherent interest and affinity towards leadership roles throughout their prior academic and professional experiences. Candidates who also have strong desire to move into such leadership roles are also eligible.
Scholarship requirements: Applicants to the 30% / EMST MIM Women's Scholarship must complete a scholarship essay along with the online EMST application form.
Number of scholarships awarded: One.
