The scholarship enables academically outstanding Indian students to attend St. John’s College to study for doctoral degrees in subjects like Science & Technology, Economics and Social Sciences (Students in S&T domain must have particular interest in Aerospace Engineering and Energy Studies). Apart from applying for this award, students must identify a suitable doctoral programme and supervisor at the University of Cambridge, apply for a place for September/ October semester and secure admission. Applicants are assessed for leadership and communication skills. You must be an Indian citizen. Application is directly made to the college, and the successful applicants are awarded the fellowships by the college. The interviews are generally held in February/March and finally awards are announced by April.The British Council coordinates pre-departure briefings, UK Visa and travel arrangements for the selected candidates.
