What is Non-Saturday Testing?

The unique feature of ACT 2018 exam is the non-Saturday testing and it is available only for students who cannot test on a Saturday due to religious commitments. If there is a non-Saturday test centre within 75 miles of a test taker’s residence for any test date, he/she needs to register for that particular date and request that centre for the same. If there is not any non-Saturday test centre within the proximity of 75 miles of a candidate’s home (in U.S. or Canada only), or in one’s country, candidates are required to follow the requirements mentioned under “Arranged testing.” When one searches for a test centre on the official website, both Saturday and non-Saturday test centres appear in the search results. ACT test dates 2018 list the Saturday and non-Saturday test dates separately.

What is Standby Testing?

According to the test dates of ACT 2018, if an aspirant fails to register for a test date within the mentioned deadline, or to request a test date or test centre change, he/she may choose to sign into the ACT account to request and pay for standby testing. Standby requests should be submitted during a limited “Standby Request Period” before the actual test date. Candidates must note that the requests will not be accepted after the last date listed for each test date below.

how a ujt act as a transistor not like a diode what is difference between them?

Apoorva Student Expert 5th Oct, 2019

Hello dear student,
Uni Junction Transistor (UJT) is also known as double base diode . It acts as a switching transistor instead of amplifying the signals. In UJT the PN junction is formed by lightly doped N-type silicon with heavily doped P-type material on one side. The UJT is a three terminal device and the diode is a two terminal device. In diode there are p-type and n-type regions whereas in UJT emitter type region is also there. UJT also acts a voltage breakdown device when the input is applied between emitter and one base terminal which shows that emitter is responsible for current flow in the device as the current varies.
I hope this is helpful to you.

Best Wishes!
